Benefits

Value for everyone on the road

Thummer turns the phones that are already everywhere into a shared delivery network, so devices stay simple and cheap, drivers can help, and apps get the data they need.

For device makers and riders

  • Connectivity without the hardware. No SIM card, cellular plan, gateway or Wi-Fi credentials in each device.
  • Low power. Bluetooth Low Energy advertising keeps radios simple and batteries long-lived.
  • Built for small payloads. Telemetry, readings and alerts of up to a few hundred bytes per cargo.
  • Know it arrived. Signed receipts confirm delivery, or explain a rejection.

For drivers

  • Help the network by just carrying your phone. Pickups and deliveries happen in the background.
  • Nothing to see, nothing to worry about. You only ever carry encrypted cargo.
  • Earn a reputation. Your rating grows with fast, reliable deliveries.
  • Rewards coming: delivery counts are recorded for future micro-payments and awards.

For consumers

  • A simple queue. Fetch your riders' messages over HTTPS with an API key, and commit what you've processed.
  • Addressable. Your 8-byte consumer ID lets any rider send to you.
  • Private by design. With your public key, riders seal payloads so even Thummer can't read them.
  • Ready-made app. Thummer Consumer manages keys and stores your decrypted messages.

For everyone

  • Post-quantum strength. ML-KEM-768 key provisioning and AES-256-GCM encryption from device to cloud.
  • Fair use. Account classes cap message size and frequency, per minute up to per month.
  • Quality you can measure. Drivers are rated on speed and reliability.
  • Density map coming: located pickups will show where more drivers are needed.

Account classes

Each account has a class that sets how large and how frequent its riders' messages can be. Frequency limits apply per rider.

Message sizes are the payload before encryption. Addressing and sealing use a few bytes of each cargo, so the largest sealed message over Bluetooth is 422 bytes.
